Dear Seniors,

Greetings!

I'm a fresher in HR field and nowadays I'm appearing for job interviews every now and then. I appeared in interviews of different companies which are related to different industries like Banking, Education, Hospitality, etc.

I have observed that in every interview, the recruiter asks about the Minimum Wages Rate.

But, there are some problems with the answer-

1.) The minimum wage rate is revised every 6 months. And, I could not find the updated wage rates for April 14 - Sep 14 quarter online to prepare for interview.

2.) There are 1200 different measures/ways to indicate and assess minimum wages (as per my knowledge) like central, state wise and further bifurcations (skill wise, industry wise, etc.) and (per day, monthly, etc.)

3.) Some recruiters want me to answer industry wise (like 6300 for Hospitality, 4620 for Education), some skill wise (eg; Tell me for semi-skilled contract workers!) and this always confuses me.

...

Dear Seniors,

I want to know the source (like some website or something) from where I can the get exact figure of updated minimum wages from time to time (for all bifurcations) which would help me in interviews and on the job as well. I also want to know which GOI department releases the notice of updated minimum wages quarterly.

I am staying in Punjab (but need minimum wages details and sources for all over India (central), state wise and industry wise too) because I am open for a job throughout India. Nowadays, I am mainly appearing in interviews in Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana.

I request the very knowledgeable seniors to answer and help me out.

Thankyou so much :)
