Our Company Gives 6CL 6SL & 12 EL which is applicable from Jan to Dec.
My query was that is the newly joined person have completed probation period of 6Months i.e., from January and we have confirmed him in the month of June than how many CL, EL & SL can be given

Dear Friend,
First of all allocation of leaves depends on the company's policies. Every company has their own policy.
In a general perspective, When an employee joins in January, he / she will get 6 CL & 6 SL. EL will be given after completion of 240 working days. EL to the new employee will be allocated from Jan'15. The balance of EL will be allocated to new employee from his / her date of joining.
The reason CL & SL is allocated to a new employee because an employee might need some leaves during their probation period for sickness or for some serious personal reasons.
Hope your doubt is cleared.

Dear all,
While referring such cases in the names of so called company policies, one should know the applicable provisions of the relevant laws first and while advising or commenting on queries, such legal applicable provisions should also be quoted / referred. The company policies never ever supersede the applicable provisions of the relevant laws.
For instance, according to the company policy, CL-6, SL-6 and EL-12 are being allowed which are less then the applicable provisions which is not objected or advised by any one. In fact, if I am not wrong, CL/SL leaves 7 each year and EL 1 after 20 working days (subject to minimum 240 working days in a calender year in case employee has worked for full year and 2/3rd working days in other cases) is permissible. CL/SL can be allowed on pro-rata basis while earned leave so earned during the current year can be availed in the proceeding year.

I fully agree with Mr.P.K.Sharma, for his valuable advice in computation of leaves. This is the practice where many organizations are being followed. Thanks to Mr.P.K.Sharma.
