I have been gathering some information on work-life balance can someone help me gather stuff with some great insight.

Another business related concept that basically includes proper prioritization of the work components like career and ambition with that of the lifestyle like health, leisure, spiritual development etc. In broader terms, the concept is basically all about the lifestyle choices and lifestyle calm balances.

The ability of the individual to maintain a balance between life and work is affected by multiple factors that relates to the work environment and the working conditions including the flexibility of the work and the quantity of work that is assigned, leaves (both sick and holiday provisions) and the support structures in the workplace. Another important factor that affects the work-life balance is the access to different employee-government provisions or different subsidation like parental leaves, childcare and others. All these factors affect the work life balance.

Besides this, the characteristic of the individual’s life also acts as the determinants that will help in maintaining the ability to function to the optimal levels. For example, if any individual has multiple non-work commitments, balancing them becomes a difficulty. Sometimes people may be associated with community work, pursue sports, or even travel, finds balancing all these with work to be more difficult. Sometimes families and various aspects of them also affects this.

The following are some important components for attaining work life balance:

Self management: Sometimes management of the self can become challenging, especially if the individual is deprived of getting proper sleep, exercise and thereby nutrition. Only with the appropriate self management can the individual be able to recognize and reuse the opportunities using the different spaces that are vital especially when the available resource, time and life are all finite. Simply put, it is all about becoming the captain of one’s own ship and no one to steer.

Time management: Only with effective time management can any individual make the optimal use of the available time- which means one is in pace with the resources and what matches the challenges. Only with appropriate goals is time management enhanced and being able to discern what is important, urgent or both, it allows the individual to perform the best by assembling the necessary tools to accomplish the task at hand.

Other than these two, it is necessary to manage stress, and all other changes that may occur in your life, and be successfully be able to assemble the various technologies that are available at the individual’s disposal. Lastly, it is also about being able to manage the relaxation time.

With the fast paced life that everyone leads today, it becomes extremely difficult to maintain a reasonable work life balance. More often than not, people tend to move towards work and ignore family completely, which results in stress and other problems. The individual’s productivity is eventually affected, which was being tried to be maintained. This is the reason, that attaining the balance is important.

Topic which you discussed of Work-Life balance is very important and most watchable one in this present situation where every single person has held up his life with full busy schedules, keep running, making hurry-burry always. no time to see also atleast whats going on in and around us. everyone should again get back to this topic. think about it, give their perceptions and opinions regarding this. its time to take several factors and things into consideration to lead good healthy balance between work- personal life. lets all of us have our own charts, necessities, rules& regulations, mending our own ways, taking time out, letting manage things smoothly.
