I'm currently working as a HR in my organization. Currently I was given the task to develop and improve our transportation department. Seniors I need your help to develop a strategy to get everything in control in our transportation department. As most of the things are tangled here. Thank you in advance.

It is not transportation department but "Transport Department".
What kind of transport you handle? Is it cargo or passenger? If both then what is the break up of number of vehicles? How many drivers you have? What are their selection standards? How many staffs are working on your company's rolls and how many staffs are on contractor's rolls? What is the tonnage per KM? What is the tonnage per person? What is cost per ton?
What measures of performance you have designed to measure the effectiveness of transport department?
I ask all the above questions since I give consulting services on PMS. Do you wish to avail of my services? If interested then contact me. I will not just set the Policy on Transport Department but devise measures as well.
