I don't know whether I can post this question here or not.
My question is, I deposited some amount in wrong icici bank's account also contacted the bank. They were not able to reach that account holder. If they are not able to contact that account holder, how do I get my money back? As informed by the bank, some of that amount was withdrawn by the receiver through ATM withdrawal. . If the bank is not able contact that person what kind of action they can take on account holder ?
If, finally they catch that person, how do I get my total amount, including what they have withdrawn so far, back?

firstly, have you made any written communication with the bank? and have you got any proof of the same?
if yes, then plz refer to the terms and conditions of bank policy as to the time limit to file such complaints.
then, if you have complained in that specific time. then just issue a reminder letter to the bank giving them 7 days time to do the needful.
Later on you can issue a legal notice to bank and accordingly file a complaint in the consumer forum.

Hi, Bank has power to inquire and to cancel the transaction. and it it refuse to do so you can always sue them for DEFICIENCY IN SERVICE in consumer court.. CHAITRAL K KOTWAL
