Hi ,
Every month the Salary month days are counted from 25th to 24th of next month...for e.g. Dec.25th to 24th Jan.(31 days) , Jan 25th to Feb.24th (31 days), Feb.25th to March 25th(28 days)..
If an employee is on LOP on 15th Feb during the aforesaid salary period, do we calculate the month ( as per the above mentioned period) as consisting 31 days or 28 days.
Please clarify...
Regards....Sridhar

Dear Sridhar,
As you have given the eg. as Dec. 25th to 24th Jan. (31 days; as considering December) , Jan 25th to Feb.24th (31 days; as considering January), Feb.25th to March 25th (28 days; as considering February), plz. correct if I am getting wrong.
Whereas, if you are taking 5 days as advance, then Dec. 25th to Jan. 24th (31 days; should be considering as January, not December). In the same way, Jan 25th to Feb. 21st (28 days; should be considering as February).
So, plz. confirm first..!! How you are exactly considering the month, instead of example.

Dear Sridhar,
If you are considering Dec. 25th to Jan. 24th (31 days; as January) then February should be considered from Jan 25th to Feb. 21st (28 days). Then this problem should not be arise, as till will be treated as Feb.
Whereas, just consider that you was absent on 25feb, instead of 15feb. Then as 25feb will be a day of march, then the LOP will be treated as March day.
Hope your doubt is clear now.
