I have lived in the UK for a long time and, as I was not conversant with the term CTC, I searched the web and found details at What is CTC ? What is the difference between CTC & Net Salary?
Given the examples by you, I wonder why there is doubt!! The difference between the two offers is so large, that I will have no hesitation to accept the higher offer, all other working conditions being equal. Why does one have to take a reduction in the basic pay when switching a job??

Dear, The basic is important for EOS benefits. Since you are into the private sector, better go for higher package. Read all employment terms carefully and accept the offer accordingly. Regards,

Dear,
In private sector the concept of CTC prevails. While jumping from one organisation to another in the private sector what is compared is not the basic pay but the current CTC and the % of raise demanded/ sanctioned over it. Accordingly, please do not hesitate in taking a decision which suits you.
