Hi All,
I am working with a financial company in Mumbai, where we also have a trustee company associated with it under the same roof. There are no employees in the trustee company. Kindly let me know, whether should we register the trustee company for a Shop & Establishment Licence?

Dear Bhavik ji,
A company whether it is registered or not under the charitable or other trust carrying any business, trade or profession or work in connection with or incidental or ancillary thereto and also its' purpose is to gain or not, is included in the definition of "Commercial Establishment". Section 2(4) of Bombay S&E Act.
Definition of "Establishment" (Section 2(7)) includes Commercial Establishment. Each establishment whether it employs any person or not, is liable for registration under this Act.
You are require to register your Trust Company under the Bombay S&E Act.
