i am Senior Officer Human Resource working in a manufacturing company for last 3 years. However 2 months back i made a mistake of Data temper for which i have remorsefully apologize from the bottom of my heart to my HR manager verbally and non- verbally for me it was a mistake for me just a stupidity. He is a extremely generous cool minded personality with a strong leadership qualities. He listen to my problems carefully professionally and as well as emotionally with humanity being a perfect human resource manager .eventually he revert back his decision and transferred me in some other unit of the company for 2 months at that time my manager was on notice period but he clearly written in my file that " He will be transferred in XYZ unit for 2 months as punishment he will be back to HO on 1-Jan-2014. This statement was officially written and signed in my personal file on 8-Nov-2013.

My question is that should i go and join my position on 1-Jan-2014 without asking or telling anyone in my department because there is no competent authority in HR right now new Manager will also join on 1-Jan-2014. As i discussed with my EX-Manager on phone about this issue he said as i written in your file there is no need to ask or tell anyone .but assistant manager is there in the department if i was there we both work on the same level according to the hierarchy of that company.

What should i do ? should i go back tomorrow Directly.

Dear, there is no issue. your HR manager is right. you can go and join with out any hesitation. But you just inform in your HR department (may be the Asst HR manager) about your joining on jan-2014. at the mean time there is no one has the right to stop your joining bcz the written statement in your personnel file is clear. SO NO WORRY. HAVE A HAPPY JOINING !

You just report tomorrow to your earlier unit without intimating to any one..since it was per-decided that on 1st January, 2014 you will report back to your origin unit.
Let your new boss (HR Manager) join, he will take the further decision whether he will retain the decision of the pervious HR Manager or will take a fresh.
Do not worry, if that matter arise in front of your new boss, you just try your best to conveyance him.
