HI
you have to check your company policy. If your company emphasis on flexi working hours, then their complaint is valid. If you follow the specific working hours, then it wont create any problem inspite the same has been communicate to them. it could be induction or appointment letter stating the terms and condition etc. But from now on, you can convey a written commuinication or a notice in the notice board to ensure that all employees are aware of the rules and regulations of the company.

It is a rule of cut offevery 3-late comings one 1/2-day salary cut.but the timings are strictly followed by your company.i.e our company timing is 9 am-6-30pm every day.no one can do any extra time with out inform to hr dept.

Few things:
1. What kind of industry is it - if IT, then there should be flexi hours.
2. However, the daily attendance to be followed as per service rules/ Attendance Policy of the organization. If any clause is mentioned in Policy for flexi hours/ compensation and if employee is working for minimum hours in a day, then no question of deduction of leave should arise.
3. If there is no such policy mentioned in service rules, the employee should get the benefit and should be allowed flexi hours with no deduction of any leaves.
May I also mention that now a days all companies are working extended hours and staff members are required to work beyond specified time if any work is left undone.
Suggestion: Kindly arrange a session with the employees immediately for bringing awareness/ refresher of HR policies, wherein you can brief all HR & other policies with the employees. This will clear the doubts and difference among employees with HR.

Dear Sir
We have been sitting every day late in the evening beyond regular office hours of 10-7pm we used to stay back till 8pm every day and sometimes till 10pm depending upon the work load. And the it has become regular practice here.
Request you to advise how to tackle it as when we go late then we used to report duty late till 1030am and there is rule in the company to allow employee 3times for late coming and after that they used to deduct payment on pro rata basis. I just dont understand this rule. As they made it regular routine for us to work late every day and if on any day if we go at regular timing at 7pm then our bosses scold us ...
Is it justified...is there any such rule... pls advise how to tacke this situation as it becomes very difficult for us to carry out our duties...
