Hi

First of all congratulations on compiling and sharing that excellent presentation. It is obvious that you have done a lot of homework yourself and logically built up the presentation. Since you have sought feedback let me also share a few additional thoughts for your consideration.

1. Using a non black slide background could possibly be easier on the eyes.

2. In slide 6 - replace the word MAKE with Facilitate catchy and ....

3. In slide 8 - the use of the words Logical Equipments is jarring... please try and replace that

4. In slide 9 - The title and the sub titles are excellent. However the explanation eg. follow influential organizations and people ... in my view is out of sync with the overall context of enhancing teaching skills. It is possible that I have not understood the thrust of the slide but I am sharing my initial reaction based on my immediate understanding of the substance you seek to convey.

5. Perhaps you can also incorporate a suggestion to work on how to motivate students.

Congratulations once again on a well thought out and fairly comprehensive outline of the program.

Best wishes

Dear Sanchita,

B Jacob has given you some excellent food for thought. I will raise a few questions before making comments. May we know who is the target audience: school teachers or adult educators? What is the objective of the presentation and how long will a session last? What should be the outcome for the participants that take active part in a session?

When I started as a lecturer in a college, I was told that a good tutor would state what would be covered in the session at the outset, then cover the topic, and, finally, summarise what was covered. As I gained experience and some knowledge of Effective Teaching (by reading Wilbert McKeachie's Teaching Tips), I started to state what the active participants would gain or could do by attending the session, then state what I intended to state, and ask the participants to summarise what was covered/what they learnt. Please see University of Virginia Teaching Resource Center <link updated to site home> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google ) for a review of that book.

I hope these tips make sense and will be of some use to you. Thank you for attaching the presentation and soliciting comments.

Thank you so much Simhan for the inspiring feedback. This presentation was an attempt to let out my thoughts on the subject. But so very kind of you to give me such an elaborate feedback. I will for sure look up all the details as informed by you.

Dear Sanchita,
Excellent presentation and a lot of food for thought how to improve my teaching style. I would like to suggest one change, please change the slide design and if possible reduce use of too many colours.
Thanks for sharing it.

Hello Sanchita ,
You deserve appreciation for creating a prescription for teachers to be in tune with the times.
It is a good effort.
Since you asked for opinion I wish to present my views.
However the Learning styles cannot be confined to Experiential Learning alone.
The other accepted forms also have to be there.
Scope for Experiential Learning is already there in abundance, thanks to modern
gadgets, mass media and different Knowledge sources.
For example to put the learners in the right direction teaching the relevant theory is important
followed by lessons to practice.
Starting with a theoretical approach will prevent the reinvention of wheel !!
