My Queries -

1. What is the way out if there is MISMATCH OF PF NUMBER in company

records and PF commisioner office records?

3. Is it possible for a member to get the records rectified himself and

withdraw his PF without involving his previous employers?

3. What a member can do without involving the previous company?

Following is detailed description of my case for correct understanding:-

I worked for company X from Nov-2003 to Nov-2004. After that I joined some company Y and cleared all my standing dues with previous company X.

After clearing my all dues with company X, I started the process for withdrawal of PF amount. I sent duly filled PF withdrawal forms which company X attested and sent to PF commisioners office. The PF commsioners office rejected the forms with the reason that

Records doesn't match (Actually company X has discrepencies in their records for PF number which they didn't observed when company X opened my PF account with PF commisioners office)

Since then the forms are sent many times to PF office but the issue didn't got resolved. Now HR Manager of company X is not cooperating since I complained about the INFINITE DELAY to higher authorities.

Now I want to know what I can do from my side to solve the problem of PF number mismatch in company records and PF commisioner office records?

Please help since its almost 2 year.

Dear Friends,
Regarding your quarry,
1st step: Please check with your previous employer's HR department weather they update the Form - 9 register. if so then you check up your payslip defiantly they mentioned your PF account number. Since you are saying your PF withdrawal forms are forwarded for attestation. The principle employer while forwarding the same to the local RPF office a copy of the letter is suppose to sent to your address for information. If such things are not done properly......
2nd step: You write to your compliant to the local PF enforcement officer about your quarry and cc to the RPF Commissionerate.

HR Manager is not cooperating at all. Basically I'm helpless. PF number is which is mentioned in my salary slips is wrong and it doesn't matches with PF commisioners office records. HR manager never forwarded any copy to me when they sent attested forms to PF commmissioners office. But its writeen in compamy law and PF guidelines..hence just supposed.

Wrote many mails to PF commissioners office mail-id but got ZERO reply. They have put up mail-ids which no body checks and no body cares to reply.

My Dear,
Good morning
In the last you forward the Copies of all correspondence to The Central Provident Fund Commissioner with the request letter and copy to the R.P.F.C. and PF E.O. for information and neccessary action. In my opinion within three months your problem will be resolved. Before taking above action, you think that your relationship will discontinue with the principal employer.

Lalit Ji...Please take a practical approach...I tried everything....and its India..Sarkaari Babus don't give a damn....Believe me ...

As far as relationship is concerned with previous employer...They ruined it since I gave them

4-5 chances to get the things in-place

&

2.5 years time is QUITE enough to toss the world...

What do you suggest?

Should I care for this relationship?

My one problem got solved:-

Problem # 1- What's the procedure to be followed by the member if the

employer is not cooperating/attesting his claim forms

Solution - When a member finds difficult to get the form attested by the

employer, he can get the attestation of any of the following

officer & send to the Provident Fund office

1. Manager of a bank.

2. By any gazetted officer.

3. Member of the Central Board of Trustees./ committee/ Regional

Committee (Employees' Provident Fund Organization).

4. Magistrate/ Post/ Sub Post Master/ President of Village Panchayat/

Notary Public.

Now only one problem is left:-

Problem # 2 - How to approach PF Commissioner and rectify the

discrepancy of PF Number in there records.
