Hi,
Discharge: Relieving from all the responsibilities given to a person on the job and one he/she resigns from the duties, the charge (work) is given to someone else in the Organisation.
Dismissal A person who is found engaged in any misconduct that is clearly not of sufficient magnitude to warrant any disciplinary action.
Dismissal may take place if the employer terminates the contract of employment, or if a fixed contract of employment expires. It also occurs in cases of constructive dismissal (breach of contract by the employer leading to the employee's resignation); or deemed dismissal in the case of refusal to allow a woman back to work after maternity leave. It may be contrasted with resignation (at the employee's instance) which does not amount to dismissal
Suspend: Complete term is Suspension, it's a temporary dismissal of a person from the job on various ground such as Fraud, Theft, Behaviour, Attitude etc. etc.
Termination: Termination means typically the end. Which means a person whose services are not needed anymore, termination is next process after suspension. During suspension period an enquiry is done and if in the enquiry the person is found guily he/she's job is terminated permanentally.
Retrenchment: 'retrenchment' means the termination
by the employer of the service of a workman for
any reason whatsoever, otherwise than as a
punishment inflicted by way of disciplinary action,
but does not include
(bb) termination of the service of the workman
as a result of the non-renewal of the contract of
employment between the employer and the
workman concerned on its expiry or of such
contract being terminated under a stipulation in
that behalf contained therein;"
