Hi All,
We are in urgent need of a good salary breakup where employees and employer both have a win-win situation.
Our salaries range from Rs 7,500/- to Rs 22,500/-
We would prefer if it wasn't by the standard 40-60% basic. Anything more appealing would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Dear Friend,

For junior segment such as salaries between 7500 to 10,000. You should consider the Basic Pay (please read as Basic+DA) to be the minimum wages of the state and make the remaining part in HRA and conveyance allowance which may be kept at Rs. 800 per month. If possible try to keep Basic + DA over Rs. 6500 as EPF officials during inspection may object on the other salary heads if the Basic+DA is lower than Rs. 6500.

For Senior employees above Rs. 10,000 you may keep the Basic Pay as you wish (keep between 50-60%), the HRA may be 50% of Basic Pay in case of metro cities and 40% in case of non-metro cities, Conveyance and Medical Allowance may be kept at a cap of Rs. 800 and Rs. 1250 respectively. Other heads you may keep as Leave Travel Allowance and Child Education Allowance (Rs. 100 per child but maximum up to two children) and remaining amount out of above salary heads shall be classified as Special Allowance. In case you provide uniforms to your employees you may also add salary heads such as Uniform Allowance and Washing Allowance.

Warm regards,

Umesh Chaudhary
