Today i want share my problem and please suggest me what should i do. My HR manager always says different, suggest different and at last give order complete different. I explain how. 1 person is in our company working with other department, and both enjoying company with each other. my manager always instruct to me clear to every person that they have to submitted OD & Gate pass if they are going outside in company time. every employee is obeying this order except one person which is my manager favorite. And in front of my manager he used miss behave bcoz my manager support him. And still he is not giving me OD and Gate pass. And i had confirmed many times with my manager that person should give me same thing or ot. He told me in strict way of course u have to take it from him. U cant avoid it. And before 4 days i gave him full month report that person 15 times went from company without any information and form. My manager gave order to me that ignore it and mark complete attendance. And i strictly object for same. My manager took me in a cabin and his behaved with me so bad. He said u didnt like good behavior with any body if i am giving u order that ignore it so why u dont do it.

Please suggest me what should i do. My manager want OD and Gate pass with every body and give instruct to ignore also. So i am anable to manager this condition.

Amit Ji, U will get shock to know about my company. I am working in Japnease company in gurgaon. All people know that japnease company rules are stick, punctual, Very obeyfull but this is not fact.

It is human tendancy to get impartial to someone or a group of person because of some or other reason(s)

However, it becomes a little difficult when we are impartial but our manager is.

It is very obvious that if we go to him/her and state in clear words that you're being partial, we would be in troubled waters.

The issue needs to be tackled in a different manner.

If you have any records of this, you can take it to the authority above you. However, please note that taking the concern to the higher authorities would mean a difficult stay of yours in the company.

I do understand that impartial practices are wrong and ought to be tackled, but before taking any step you need to understand -

1. What would be your management's or higher authority's view on this

2. Is the person in question doing any exceptional work for your company?

(Eg: We have a person who walk in the office leisurely at 10 or 10.15 am. People notices that. However he is an exceptional case because, he would wait back to sell the services in the US market and be in office late to cover foreign market. He is an exceptional marketing person getting the highest sales, so we cannot really mark him late as he is also waiting back exceptionally late for 3-4 hours.)

3. Is there any particular reason that your manager favors this person, try to figure out. (His performance or his ability to give inside information etc)

4. How would this person react if you complained?

5. Do you have any record to prove your point?

Lots of other factors also would go into this.

I have a different request for you. In place of fighting against the deviation, please consider the survival skills. You need to remain specific with data , if in case there are any audit, you shouldn't be at fire.

Here's my request to you, the role that you are managing was managed by someone else , before you joined. Find out as much as you can, on how that person delivered and survived .

The reporting manager will obviously expect you to obey. You have already found the discretion and the pattern of favouring someone, in particular.

Please go by his orders as of now, till you figure out the audit process. You may not be able to document any of his shifting orders. Please send him a task completion or activities discussed email, right after the meeting. Tell him, you want to list so that you dont miss out on it. Avoid documenting deviations, but the official tasks. Remain just .

I understand I am only asking you to pass on the buck, as I see no one around you to support you. Please lie low till you find enough foothold. Support your boss with a positive communication and delivery. Even if this doesn't win you his trust, it will help you gain a stronger control over your self.

But i had tried many time to understand it. But i was unable. And even when my manager took me in cabin he had complained with me only for my personal life and he had nothing point for my official matter from which he can claim me. He had totally blamed for my personal issues. He never said even a singel time that you had not complete your work at time work, and you have did wrong thing and u have no knowledge about HR. Even He said your performence is going down day by day. How????????????????? i dont know. he was not agree to listen any thing from my side.
Prashant do you agree with this that performance have decide by personel life not bt work.

But i had tried many time to understand it. - Don't you have single friend in your organization who is frien to either of your Manager or the Person or of both... You can get idea from that friend only....

But i was unable. - You have not tried incessantly

And even when my manager took me in cabin he had complained with me only for my personal life - " What is mean by personal Life"

Commitment to Quality

A professional always aims to give the best they can. Whether it is putting together a product that will last and be safe to use or providing a service of value, you need to do give the customer more than they expect.

Never give out work you are not proud to have your name on and always do your best work, and the results will reflect these attitudes.

Commitment beyond yourself

A professional can see beyond him or herself and is willing to share.

Some ways to give to others in a professional capacity are as follows:

Take on an apprentice or student

Participate in professional organizations you belong to

Volunteer services to a worthy community or charity group

Encourage conservation within your work place

Join networking groups and help the members

Have referral systems in place with competitors for busy periods and complementary services

Essentially, being professional is about seeing beyond the immediate needs. By thinking about the long term perceptions of you and your business, rather than a quick dollar or score, you are likely to behave professionally.

Hi,
Bitter truth for taking complain on higher authority. A real Story.
I am working in a Trading company which has HO in another country. The place where i am working is a station of that company and as you know that station always have one station Head and here is one station head. In this station, problem is nobody ready to take any feedback from the ground level employee or above like executive employee from the head office. Manger is the one who inform everything about the station whether it is true or false because of manager they are getting growth in sales. I was the one with open mind - Manager played a game. Now i am noticed period.
what i mean to say is look around you very deeply, keep the factual report with you and do the smartly or as per the situation so that in future u will not come in trouble.
