General rule of land is Eight Hours work plus one hour luch break with 10 minutes for a tea break in the morning and the afternoon session.
You are not supposed to extend work beyond the office hours. Work after office hours is called overtime or OT. You are eligible to get paid double the wages for OT.
thanks

Dear Shyamala,
Working hours is 8, no doubt on it.
You can engage them up to 10 hours / day.
Overtime should not exceed 50 hours in a quarter. Exemption can be obtained for 72 hours also from Inspector of factories stating the reasons.
Meantime please note that female employees should not be engaged for work after 7.0pm
Hope now your clear
