Hi All,
I am working in a US based company in Pune.
I am little bit involved in hiring resources for the internal team. We however don't have any bulk recruiting but need 4-5 candidates per month.
For this situation; which is the best option? Outsourcing the recruitment activity to third party placement agency and pay 10% on ctc for each candidate ? or buying naukri or monster or timesjobs?

Hi Arya,
Either way you have to keep in mind that there will be a cost and time involved, with consultant the the advantage is that you hire people you find suitable to your needs and then pay and its less time consuming as you will be given options rather then finding them yourself on the job portals. But agency hiring cost exceeds costs involved in subscribing for jobportals. I run my own staffing company out of Ahmedabad and work on pan india level, we can help you out on the hiring front if needed you can contact me on +919825557009 or mail me at

I feel happy that if anybody tell me the cost of Monster & Naukri (Per Month & Per Year).. Then this is to analysis of recruitment cost then we can select the best.

8 to 10 K per month, if you go for a yearly deal. But keep in mind that you will have to have a person with some kind of sourcing, recruiting experience to work on it and the communication i.e internet, phone cost.

DEAR ARYA,

FIRSTLY YOU MUST ELABORATE ON WHAT HIRING...

COMPANY HR ALWAYS DOES INTERNAL HIRING OR FOR SOME PROJECT BUT IN LARGE IT IS INTERNAL HIRING.

YOU HAVE MENTIONED 4-5 RECRUITMENTS PER MONTH.... NOW YOU MUST ELABORATE AT WHAT LEVEL, WHAT SALARY RANGES & EXPERIENCE & JD DETAILS...

LASTLY, THE TYPE OF INDUSTRY & PRODUCT.... & AVAILABILITY OF CANDIDATES

ALSO, YOUR COMPANY;S BRANDING, BRAND AWARENESS, PRODUCT, FINANCIAL STRENGTH, MARKET REPUTATION, HR CULTURE ALL JOINTLY CONTRIBUTE.....

THE INITIAL COST OF JOB PORTALS IS ALWAYS VERY HIGH....OVER YEAR PLUS IT CAN BE JUSTIFIED PROVIDED YOU ARE ABLE TO CLOSE RIGHT CANDIDATE WITHIN RIGHT TIME FRAME .... OTHERWISE THERE IS COST OF OPPORTUNITY WHICH YOU MUST CONSIDER....

INITIALLY GO FOR A CONSULTANT at 8.33% PLUS TAXES ANNUAL CTC, You need not pay 10% or more & AFTER STABILITY , PERHAPS 6 MONTHS DOWN THE LINE, YOU CAN RECRUIT ANOTHER EXPERIENCED RECRUITER & TAKE PORTAL

IF YOU NEED MORE SUPPORT WRITE AT & it would be better if you give more details as mentioned above.

Hi Arya,
Hiring from placement or directly depends on the certain specific factors
1. Cost .....of the portals
2. Time ......factor to close the position
3. Manpower Cost / Search executives
Keeping in mind all the factors placement agencies are better option if they are working professionally........
Company do not bear the cost of portals
Extra manpower is not required for search
Positions can be filled with in time line.
RIGHT CANDIDATE AT RIGHT TIME is more important than anything else for any company.

Thanks for all your responses....
I spoke to one of the consultant from a job portal company (dont want to name the that company :-) )
They have a package of Rs. 2500 for 2 days with one job posting.. and 5000 for 10 days and so on...
Like I said, we don't hire that rigorously that we have to take a year long license.
So I found this option pretty decent. However, we are already tied up with a third party company who keep sending quality candidates and we place them in our company. So when they place we have to pay them a real good amount of money.
So rather than taking assistance from these third parties, do you think the option of 2 days or 10 days license should work more effective?
