Dear All
Another sad story I would like to share with you.
See how the tragedy is continuing in IOC after the 2009 fire at Jaipur.
The news coming out saying that 5 people been arrested followed by this? Read the attachment. All those of very junior level persons. Why not higher management is not blaming for this?
Lets hope that with this IOC will definitely improve their Fire & Safety Systems.
If anyone manage to get the real cause of this incident, request to please share the learning...

Dear Dipil,
I am really shocked to know about this hige fire accident. I can strongly write to state that the REGIONAL FIRE OFFICER or FIRE Authorities must also be held reponsibile for not visiting IOC on routine basis where there are chances of fire anytime.
They must adivse before giving the FIRE NOC/Advisory report with some percent of the total value goods to have the fire extinguishers,
this will atleast help to put the fire at the initial stage. No doubt they have not prepared well with MOCK FIRE DRILL or FIRE FIGHTING TRAINING using the available extinguishers or water hose pipes, which were not successful during emergency.
thanks & regards,

Dear Sir
Thanks for the comments. The points you have mentioned is very true.
As the causes is not known we can’t say anything. When the report of accident investigation comes, firstly it will not be available to public, secondly and surely it will be a great polished political document blaming the lowest level deceased workers.
Pl. see the Times of India story in this regard. May be of your interest. I got this from Mr. Jagdish Patil, from PTRC.
Let's hope that things will change in the days to come...

Dear Sir,
The fire accidents is continuing in all the government sectors where they are giving less importance for fire safety. most of the government offices are using the expired extinguishers / ISI with drawn fire extinguishers. they doesn't want to take a precautions for fire safety.

balaji
