No. Unless she gets a job, she can continue, but I would suggest be more proactive in looking for IT related job. If she don't get something really grounding in IT companies in say 4-6 months' time, ask her to switch to some other IT related roles like coaching IT related subjects in IT classes which are reputed, That would actually be counted as relevant experience when she switches as she was doing IT related jobs.
