I am trying to put on org chart for construction and development company and establish the hr department (currently not existing)
1) can u tell me what r the required departments and units int he company
2)how do I proceed and what r the steps to complete the org chart
3)what to start first for the hr dep?

Depend on companies growth you can create a following department,
1. Marketing & Sales
2. Project Department
3. Legal Department
4. Accounts Department
5. HR & Admin Department
6. Stores Department in Site
7. Purchase Department, Etc
to prepare org. chart, first you need find out existing manpower in your company and sit with the director and analyse the future requirement. Based on you can prepare the org. chart.

What do u mean by stores department? What's I the difference between that and purchase department?
Finally can you give me a list of the tasks to be done by the projects department? Do u mean the planning phase?
The company is owned by 2 families who manage it each in his domain, but a lot of tasks are done by both. How can I divide them?
