Hello Mr Dilip,
This is a crisp article.
The main message from the Pygmalion Effect is the efficacy of the teacher
in getting what he wants from students, who are otherwise considered to be below par.
By his ability, teaching skills and hard work the teacher can transfer a mediocre to brilliant.
It is worth mentioning that based on GB Shaw's novel the famous movie
MY FAIR LADY was made. It ran to packed houses.
In the film a village beauty with no knowledge of manners and ettiquete is transformed
into a fine lady with pleasing manners by her teacher.
I think one Indianised version of the same was also made later.

There is an excellent classic article on this subject published in Harvard Business Review called Pygmalion in Management. This gives a good understanding of the concept as well as is a researched articles as most of the HBR articles are. Since this is a copyright material, you cannot upload. However, you can go through the same in HBR.
