Hi,
I am working as HR in IT organization, as of now we have Individual appraisal cycle i.e. once you complete 1 yr, appraisal is done & hike is effective from the same month next year.
Now as no of employees have increased, so we want to implement Yearly appraisal system which is all employees to be appraised at same time may be either in April or in September.
Need your suggestions on "how we convey this to employees without causing any apprehension among employees".
Please suggest.

Irrespective of your size of company As per general practice the company do provide hike after completion of 01 year & fix the month " Annual Appraisal Month " ( any from Jan to Dec ) so that you can provide proportionate hike in the " Annual Appraisal Month " & you can regularize the appraisal for all employee from the " Annual Appraisal Month" from next year.

should be provided & who all to be included - those who have completed 01 year in the organization & whose appraisal to be done.eg.
If someone joined in October or November - He is suppose to get appraisal appraisal after completing 01 year from joining Oct / Nov
Suppose Annual appraisal month is decided as April the the person who has joined in Oct - 11 will get 01st Apprisal on Oct -12 & annual appraisal along with other employees in April - 13 on the performance from Oct 12 to March 13.

Thanks for clarifying doubts.. 1 more question here..
In this case Employee who joined in Oct 11 & is getting appraised in March 13, almost 1 yr & 5 months. Will this be OK from an employee perspective?
Or shall he be eligible for Arriers from Oct till March for hiked salary?
