If in case any employee who is in probation period takes leave for 1 or 2 months for a genuine reason & rejoin again then should we have to calculate that 2 months in probation??means, whether he/she will be on probation for 8 months in this case or normal 6 months probation.
please let me know....waiting for reply.

Dear Ms. Seema,
As per my view, if an employee rejoins your organisation then probation period will be same as six months as he/she may require to starts his/her work from beginning. There are also some companies which can extend probation period of an employee for the same reason as Eight months.
Thanks,
Pramod,

No employee is entitled to take leave during Probation Period. He or she can only take sick-leave. In exceptional cases, the company may allow an employee to take leave, however, in such circumstances, his probation will get extended by number of days of leave taken. In this case, if the person has taken leave for one month and his probation period was of 6 months....then it will become 7 months.

I agree with Mr. Sanjay and Mr. Pramod. Any leave during probation as per Leave Policy is Unpaid Leave. However leave for genuine reasons allowed at the discreation of management will extend the probation period by the number of days it is availed.
We in our organisation also extend the probation of the employees availed during probation by number of days it is availed.
