Dear Friends
i am a Hr professional and having 6 years of total experience .but last year due to maternity i had left my job , but now i am again seeking for job but my problem is that now ,i has lost my confidence and also communication skills and during interview i am not able to explain myself due to which i am not getting the job ,
how to cop up with this problem.
please help me

You need not worry. You have 6 long years of experience and thus you are always in a better position to regain the job in your field. First earse any impression that a woman after a spell of break from active work life, is not preferred by employees. In fact some organisations have shown interest in employing such women by introducing second innings schemes for them with facilities to work at home so that they can care for their home and share their valuable experience with the company. You can take the following initiatives.

1) Revamp your CV if it needs by highlighting your skillsand accomplishments

2) Sit quietly and think about what you have done in the past 6 years of your services. Write them clearly on a paper. This will sharpen your communication.

3)Write down probable questions you are expecting in an interview on the basis of the recent experience and write replies to them, so that you will not be caught by surprise in answering them in the interview.

4) catch hold of a coperative friend and discuss various issues pertaing to events , work life or work-life balance etc to gain fluency in converstaion.

5) Rehearse the interview befor attending one.

Therafter, do not think about how you fare in the interview.Keep attending interviews without fearing about your selection. You will win one for sure.

In addition to the tips given by Mr. Saikumar, please consider the following also:
1.0 In six years time were you a General HR Person or a Specialist? Refresh your fundamentals accordingly.
2.0 Be ready with your achievements.
3.0 It may sound strange - be ready and candid to express the failures also, the lessons that you have learnt and
today how you would approach a similar problem.
4.0 Interviewers look for what they want rather than what you say that you can do well. If you can provide
evidence of past instances of successful handling, keep them ready.
5.0 Utilize the time available now as an opportunity to study and prepare well.
6.0 Pay more attention to your language by reading News Papers, Listening to Quality News and by reading Self
Development books. These will hone and bring back your communication skills to the fore.
