Difference in Salaray break-up post Appraisal
I want to understand that if A person has been given a hike of 15% in performance appraisal, How does it affect the Salary break-up??
Does the Basic Salary get changed or is it adjusted in some other heads ie Allowances??
For An Example a Man has a CTC of 4,25,055
Units-Monthly/Annual
Monthly Basic= 16240/194880
Allowances:HRA/Lease, Conveyance, Medical, LTA , Others= 10710/128530
Co. P.F. Contribution= 1948/23376
Gratuity= 0/9369
Meal Coupons= 1100/13200
Total= 29998/369355
Variable Pay** 4475/53700
Health Insurance Scheme 0/2000
Gross Total (CTC) 34473/425055
He has been given a 15% Hike, So What should be the break-Up NOW???

Hi Medical allowance will be fixed for max of 1250 & conveyance of Rs. 800. So remaining you shall adjust on the other components like Basic, HRA & other allowances

Y not. You shall increase the basic if gross is increasing. There is no any standard calculation for basic but should make sure as it should not be less than Minimum wages act.
generally everybody use to manage basic as 50 - 60% on the gross pay.

Dear Perry,
If anybody X% got increament on his salary it means it should be given on his/her gross salary. but will not effected on his medical reimburment (rs. 1250) and coneveynece (800) becoz those are fixed but the remaining things will be effected like Basic , HRA, Speacial Allowance, if the peron getting more than 15000/- pm u may have chances to this changes by showing this increased amout as food coupns. but keep in mind the PF, PT, TDS and ESIC will affected.
For further, information do let me know.
