Heena...first of all this is not the right way to verify a document. Citehr is a open forum where any document in original should not be uploaded.
Still...attached salary slip seems to be fake as the calculation of EPF is wrong ..EPF contribution should be Rs. 798 (12% of basic salary) and not 558 as mentioned in the slip.
2nd Employer side contribution towards EPF is never deducted from employee's gross salary . Its illegal to deduct employer's share of EPF / ESIC etc from employees salary.

It is fak for the following reasons
1. PF Calculation is wrong It must be minimum of Rs 780/ ( 12% of Rs 6500/)
2. No IT deduction is shown.
3. Sodoxo is never shown in Pay slip. It is given as coupons. If they give money to buy sodoxo coupons then it is
taxable

Dear Mr. Sivasankaran,
If basic+DA is less than 6500/- how EPF contribution will be 780/-?
EPF contri should be 12% of Basic+DA and not 12% of fixed 6500.
rest of the points mentioned you are ok.

Dear All,

First of all as rightly pointed out by Kamal, this is not the right forum to verify such a document. you have to consider privacy of the person this document pertains to as well as the organization that purpotedly issued it.

The most surefire and fool proof method to authenticate a document is by calling up the HR department of the company and asking them to verify it.

As far as the views of the above contributors, the contents may be genuine as some organizations do not follow the rule book deliberately or from sheer lack of knowledge. I have seen all kindls of payslips but have the kinds of mistakes aspointed out in the document attached.

One of the simplest way is to look at the document properties:

It was created using openoffice.org 3.1 and perpared on a computer registered to "Rashid Jamal"

When such a document is generated thru any software system it will contain the name of the software as the author and mostly will have a pdf printer or writer software as PDF Producer.

Also most of the payroll software outputs will contain the disclaimer that the document is a digital output and does not require a signature. In absence of such a disclaimer a signature and seal are required for authentication of the document.

Dear All,
Thank you very much for your response.Yes I do agree I should not upload original documents and I am sure that I`ll not upload it in future.so I called HR of the company and he did clear all the doubts which I had about this payslip.
Infact payslip is genuine.
and now I know that by seeing at Payslip you cant say anything whether it is genuine or not unless you verify with the HR department of that company.
once again thanks to you all,

i still have doubts ...bcoz the basic salary and EPF contributions will not match in any EPF returns Form 5/10/12A,3A and 6A.
A person earning 30K per month fall in the income tax bracket..how there is no heading of income tax deductions/TDS.?

Dear Kamal,
I second your thoughts. I think this was to see if the Pay slip would pass the test or not.
I reserve my thoughts on the authenticity of the document.
Maybe we can discuss this outside this forum.

Savio.
