Payment of less than Minimum Rates of Wages is an offence u/Sec. 12 of the Act and simultaneously attracts a claim u/Sec.20(2)of the M.W.Act, 1948. The Minimum wages in Odisha has been revised to Agri (non ploughing ) Rs. 126, Agri. (ploughing) 150; Non- Agri.- u/s. 150, s/s. 170, skilled 190, h/s. 205 w.e.f. 9.10.2012.
