well quality/ cost are paramount..
what is the Defects Per Million Opportunities presently.
does the production manager use Project management techniques, least does he have a rudimentary PERT/ CPM.
how does he plan work schedules/ maintenance/ manpower planning.
eg if there are frequent over times then this is an indicator that planning function has collapsed.
another eg if a machine breaksdown and takes a few days/ week to get up n running again, where do you attribute downtime. \
does he understand preventive maintenance.
