Dear HR`s,
I have one doubt ,
1) is giving Salary hike is statuary requirement or motivational factor ?
2)is DA increase is it compulsory?
3)what factor should be considered while salary hike ?
Please reply.

1. Salary hike is not statutory requirement but motivational factor.
2. DA increase is must for Govt employees or to the categories who are covered under min. wages. This is my view.
3. Performance Measurement System is a tool for salary hike.

I agree with what sir have said ,
salary hike is not mandatory , but yes it motivates employee , and also it helps to create a harmony between labour and employer,
DA hike is not mandatory in private company , many companies now a days dont give DA, provided they have other lucrative alternatives , which would help them in compensating the rise in standard of living , just like DA. Increment is must for Central govmnt and state govmnt .It happens twice in a year..
For salary hike most prominent tool is Performance Measurement system or PMS etc.
Wage Survey , Wage Boards , etc are also other tools.
