Hi all.. I'm working in a private security agency as HR person.....i want to know whether it is mandatory to declare holiday to all staff on labour holidays that are being declared by state labour department or we can adjust that on any other day according to management's decision. Please answer me as early as possible.

The security agencies will be covered by the Shops Act of A.P. First asceratin whther your agency has obtained any exemption from the provisions of the Act and if so what are they or whether the Shops Act of A.P has exempted secirity establishments from the Act. If not, your establishment need to observe the national holidays specified by teh act which are mandatory.

As rightly said by sai kumar , if u dont have exeptions from the provision of the act, you have to follow it..Its an mandatory obligation.
