1. Which are the 17catogaries of major polluting Industry according to CPCB ?
2. What is the size of display board of Hazardous waste indicated outside main factory gate Hon of Supreme court order..?
3. Is it mandatory Industry shall have to display on-line data outside the main factory gate with regards to quantity & nature of hazardous chemicals being handled in the plant ?
4. Is there any standard color code for Air receiver tank according to factory act or any statuary requirement..?

Following are the categories of polluting industries
Pesticides
Petrochemicals
Drugs & Pharmaceuticals
Pulp & Paper
Oil Refineries
Sugar
Thermal Power Plants
Zinc Smelter
Aluminium Smelter
Caustic Soda
Cement
Copper Smelter
Distilleries
Dyes & Dye Intermediates
Fertiliser
Integrated Iron & Steel
Tanneries
Display Board size should be 6 Ft Height * 4 Ft Width
The data to be displayed is effluent qualitative results, stack monitoring results, Fuel Consumption, Hazardous waste Disposal, Chemical quantities stored.
The standard color for Air Receiver/line is Blue. There is one IS standard for color codification for pipe lines. I shall post the IS number on Monday.
