Dear All,

I have gone through the previous threads on this forum.

Some discussions have taken place on Global Warming.

The Carbon Trading and Reduction in Global warming gases emissions is explained at UNFCCC website (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change)

I was a co-ordinator to access potential of earning CERs (Certified Emission Reductions) within our group. I think although we did a lot of Improvements, were resulting in cost reduction. This does not fit in ADDITIONALITY CRITERION of CDM.

In the due course I attended some seminars one such ppt is retrieved and being uploaded for the benefit of members of citehr

There are 6 Gases which contribute Global Warming are

1. CO2

2. CH4

3. N2O

4. HFCs

5. PFCs

6. SF6

If any of your companies have done some improvements and if these fit in ADDITIONALITY your company can get CERs and can be traded in open market.

I attended a case study shared by M/s SRF Chemicals Delhi who have earned more than Rs 250 crore through Carbon Trading. They have published some information on net.

Hope the attached file is useful to you.

Regards,

Sudhir
