Who do you think is better placed? In today's competitive world, what do you think is better? Being a Big Fish in a small pond? or a Small Fish in the ocean?
That is, is it better to work for a smaller organization at a higher post or should one stick to a large branded organization and become a small fry?

Hi,
Have you heard about the expression " better reign ( Rule ) in Hell then serve in Heaven ". If yes then let me say that it's true since ages and will hold true for generations to come.
People work for large organizations, gain experience and when they hit the glass celling or are not aggressive enough to move vertically they opt to join smaller organizations at a higher rank or position. and after a period of time they can again jump to some larger organization on still higher position and this goes on and on. ( If time permits) wink:
this happens all the time.and every where

hi surbhai , i m pursuinig mba n acc. to my perception its better to go for high profile rather then organization ,in small organization u will be given more responsibilities becoz there few people to handle out the work ,so there is more scope to learn n this will open doors to bigger organization.on other hand in big organization there are many people to do the work n sometime u dont have work to do or u r not given responsibilities ,this arouse job dissatisfaction n frustration ,even IIM people go for profile ,this is my perception n what i got to know about few established people in differnt feilds.moreover big org.look for experienced people n ur profile ,which u can earn in smaller org.,i feel everybody manage to cick in big org. afterwards.
u will find different different ans. from different people.
bye n take care
