Dear Seniors !
I had this one query on Leave Management.
Few of our employees could not make to office due to heavy rains as the trains were not working.
These employees are demanding that we do not consider this day as an leave , as they had no options to reach office.
My query is what is the best possible solution in this case?
If we do not consider it as a leave will it not be unfair on othr employees who made it due to rains
What is the general industry standards
Our organization has just General Leaves. Our leaves are not segregated as Casual, Sick .....
Awaiting for your valuable feedback.

Dear Sumita,
In this case you can discuss the matter with senior management to find out the solution according to your company policies.
There is another practice in such cases, you can ask those employees to compensate the same in the next coming weekend. You can make those days as compensatory unless it is really unfair for others those who are making it to the office in the similar condition.

As Ranjitha said, compensatory working is an option otherwise it shall be treated as CL. Pon
