Hi,
I had joined a company in Nov 2010. But, due to personal issues, i quit the company withing the month just by sending a mail to the Hr and manager. I received my 1 month salary and the joining bonus at the end of the month. After that i did not receive anything.
After 3 months,he company sent me a couple of letters on absence and at the end said my name was removed from the employee records.
Now, after 6 months, the company sent me a letter to pay around 2 Lacs as recovery of notice period and joining bonus paid.
If i calculate the 2 months notice period and bonus, it comes to 130k.
I have not signed any bond, Just the appointment letter mentioning the 2 months notice period for resignation and the joining bonus recover y if i resign within 12 months.
Can the company register FIR or take legal action?
If yes, what are my options?
I dont have that much money to pay.

Hi Nikita,
My situation is a bit different.
I am an employee of an IT company in Bangalore. I was working in Noida before and was relocated to join my current company. My company paid me relocation and also bought my notice period with my previous organization. In my offer letter they had mentioned that if I leave before 2 years, I would have to return the reimbursed amount. When I joined and got my appointment letter, it was specified in the appointment letter that if I leave before 12 months, I would have to return the reimbursed amount.
Now, I am in a dilemma. I can't directly ask HR for clarification. Please advice that when I resign and if there is a dispute between me and my current company, then which document will be refereed for ascertaining the minimum serving period.
Thanks & Regards,
Mukesh
