Hi
According to my knowledge if a person intimates to his controlling authority in written or orally about his absence and his leave has been approved by the controlling authority then it can be taken as authorized absence. Further if an employee falls ill or due to any other circumstance he is not able to intimate to his controlling officer or any higher authority, to this effect he can take a post facto approval from his controlling authority and make an unotherized leave an authorized leave subject to the standing orders/ Conduct discipline , Appallettae; rules and leave rule position in that particular organization. So if the procedure as specified in the leave rules of the company is followed by an individual while taking leave then such leave is called as authorized absence and remaining others are called as unauthorized absence

Hi,

Please see my comments pointwise

Q)how and when any employee can be marked as habitual absentee

A) You have to define the same in your office orders/standing orders. Normally companies put cap on authorized leaves/absence per month and in case some one avails leaves /ramains absengt beyond that stipulated period, he is considered to be a habitual absentee.

Q) what is meaning or definition of authorised and unauthorised leave as per model standing order.

A) authorized leave is that leave which is authorized by the company and un-authorized leave is that which is not authorized or sanctioned.

Q)when a absend can be marked as un authorised.

A) when his leave is santioned after being absent

Q)what is disciplinary procedure of habitual absent.

A)Like any disciplinary proceedings, the employee needs to be served charge sheet and explanation sought. We can issue warning, issue suspension order or deduct salary. This needs to be defined in Standing orders/office procedures or you can follow model standing orders/.

Q)i really want to know clear idea of authorised and un authorised absend/leave in an organisation/establishment

A) Given hereinabove
