can any one tell me why the esic contribution for employee is 1.75% and why the employeer contribution is 4.75%. Why there is difference between them

My increment comes then after my salary is rs.15015/- my hr manager said me your salary revise in july'11 so upto sep.'11 ur esi will be deduct. He said if we are deduct in april'11 so upto sep.'11 we have to deduct. ITS TRUE???

that's true,
once contribution is paid for a period then it is compulsory to pay till the end of contribution period untill unless the employee resigns or leave the job.
so dear you have to pay your esi contribution till 30 sep 11 and from 01st oct 2011 you will be out of coverage.

In my opinion, the employer's will get relief from the Workmen compensation Act and Maternity Benefit Act... Hence their share is more than the employee........
further being employer its his responsibility to look after the welfare of their employees, for a better productivity.......

please guide me regarding amount of wages on which esic is applicable.if a person is drawing more than fifteen thousand rupees per month and if he draws less than fifteen thousand rupees in a month due absentism in that case will esic deduction be applicable.
