Dear All,
We are a new manufacturing company, and are in the process of developing the HR department for the company - we would like to know what are the list of documents that are needed to be created, circulated and maintained in an organization?
are Employee Handbook and code of conduct the same?
should these be created separately? what are the policies to be maintained?
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
Thank You.

Dear John
Please google the HR Manual and prepare for your company, start implementing Recruitment Policy, Leave Policy, Retrenchment Policy, Resignation Policy, Retirement Policy, Promotion Policy, Cadres of Staff and their Designation, Pay role structure, Performance Analysis, Annual Appraisal procedure, Disciplinary procedure, Office Code of Conduct, etc.
Please do it one by one and finish it. Even after decades whoever seeing the Manual you are preparing, should talk about you.
All the best

Employee Handbook details all the rules and regulations concering Employee entitlements : leave policy; travel expense policy; advance policy; performance review policy; salary administration policy; medical check; canteen; transportation; etc;
Code of Conduct: will refer to what is expected on ethical conduct; what sort of declarations from individuals; gift policy; policy on transactions where there is a personal interest; sexual discrimination; whistleblower policy; etc;
