Hi,
I have resigned from my current employer due to personal reasons. I have to serve notice period of 3 months. I have already completed 2 months.. Now they have assigned new task which is not related to my technology and told me to complete before re leaving. I have replied saying that it is not my technology and I never worked before. Inspite of this my Manager is insisting to complete the task.
Please let me know how to handle this and also how to reduce the notice period

I have seen this phenomenon often where companies try to spoil the record of those people who want to leave the company. I don't have a solution, but the political current will be against you as most people feel that 'you are leaving for a better world'... And its a sadistic tendency that operates in such cases...

According to me I think that you shld do the work you have been assigned. Maybe they must have seen the talent in you and therefore the must have given you this project....Every dituation as some pros and cons...That doesn't mean you should always see the negative side...
Since you ahve completed your 2 months notice period, I would suggest yo to compete 1 more month of your notice period and instead of wasting your time in your notice period, the company must have thought to utilise your skills and knowledge and keep you busy....
Think it in this way, this might add a additional value to your career...
Last but not the least, I would advice you to give it a shot....

Yes what you said looks correct... I am Oracle DBA, but they are asking me to work on Development which irrelevant... Is there any possibility they may delay in releaving... Can you guide me how to handle this.. I am ready to pay for remaining 1 month notice.. but thy are not ready to accept.. More over I don't have any other commitment like KT,handover etc...

Hi All,
I had quit my last job(HP) one year back. I have not served the notice period so they didnt give me the relieving letter. Now I wanted to withdraw my PF paid during my service to HP. HP is not willing to attest the PF form. Can anyone tell me how to withdraw my PF.

With just a month left in the company and unfamiliar work alloted its not a favorable situation for anyone. Having said that no matter where we go , there is something called Employee Referral Check which will be critical when joining a company.
If you don't try to at least complete some part of the work and show some effort your manager might make it tough for you while leaving and give some feedback which might be encouraging for the next company.
The best way out is , involve your manager in your work. Give update to him on the work progress without him/her asking for it and where you are getting stuck and might need help. As the days pass they will realize you are trying , you might not necessarily finish the work but you did take it up.
You lose nothing , but gain confidence , trust and goodwill while leaving the company.

Dear Gani,
If you think that the task is way above your limitations and the management is harassing you into it, Please surrender one months notice pay and leave the organization. Write a letter (Hard Copy) to the Management about your intention of leaving the organization and with a cheque of one month's notice pay. Please ask them to issue a experience letter and relieving letter also. Mark a copy of this letter to your Local Labour commissioner with a copy of cheque. Retain a copy of all for your reference also. You should get your dues easily.

It is very wrong practice to not to serve the Notice Period. The Management has to arrange for somebody at your place to keep running the work smoothly and not serving notice period disrupts the smooth functioning of the business, Which is not at all good. Even if you have some sudden problem and you are not able to serve the notice period you should give a proper resignation with a request to waive off the notice period.
apart from it as PF is your right i am telling you the way properly fill in the form 19 and 10C and submit the same directly to the PF office. Rest they will take care off.

Dear Kamal,
As per my knowledge, PF withdrawal form should be submitted to PF office only by the Employer since the employer has to sign on Form 19 & Form 10C in addition to this also Form 3A has to be attached with the form so that PF office can proceed with withdrawal formalities.
