Hi all, I'm working with an organization where in PF, employer contribution is being given to few employees only. PF is being calculated on CTC and out of 12% that is being deducted from our salaries, half is being shown as ours and another half is being shown as employer contribution in the returns. But for few employees who are close to management, for them 6% is only being deducted on their CTC and the same amount is being contributed by employer. For us PF is being deducted on total CTC but in the returns 50% of our salary is being shown as wages. Is it correct to do like this. Is not organization cheating us doing like this. I want to do something but dont know what to do. So, please seniors help me by telling me whether all these are correct or not and what i can do in this regard.

Hi Sailaja !
I unable to get your question but what i understand from your question your ans is :
The Employee contributes 12% of his /her Basic Salary & the same amount is contributed by the Employer.
Employers contribution of 12% of basic salary is totally deposited in provident fund account Whereas out of Employees contribution of 12% , 3.67% is contributed to Provident fund and 8.33% is deposited in Pension scheme.
If u think that your employer is making indifference between u and other , it may be their personal issue but u may complaint the same in PF office or to PF Commissioner.

Collect all you 12 month salary slips for the year 2009-10. Jot down the basic salary earned by you every month. Jot down the PF contribution amount deducted from your salary every month. . Jot down the 8.33% of your earned basic similarly work out 3.67% of your earned basic. Now you get 2 totals. (1) 12% of your earned salary (2) 8.33% of your earned salary (3) 3.67% of your earned salary . Now check these figures in your annual PF Slip. specially in the columns "Contribution during the year.
Does the total of Your Employees contribution is 12% of the total basic wages/salary earned by you during the year. Similarly in Employer's contribution column. does the amount is 3.67% of the basic salary earned by you(employee). If the total of both is arriving at 15.67%, you don't have to worry. But if it is otherwise lodged a written complaint with PF Office, that you have found less PF Contributuion as agaist deducted, in your PF accumulation slip. Ensure that you don.t put any such words in your complaint to PF Deptt which shows distrust in your employer. The PF deptt will do the needful.

Dear Sailaja,
Find the calculation in bellow.
PF contribution is based on basic + DA
12% from Employee side
12% from Employer side in which
1. 8.33% is family pension
2. 3.67% is PF
3. 1.10 % EDLIS
4. 0.50% is Admin charges for EDLIS
5. 1% is Admin Charges.
Like wise 25% is the total contribution from both side for PF.
If you found that management is doing partiality with some of the employees then you can raise a written complain in your state PF office. But remember you will have sufficient prove for that.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the response. But here in our organization they are not giving us pay slips. Apart from the employees who are receiving employer contribution in their PF account, Nobody knows that there is employer PF Contribution in our organization. In PF Statement, which they are submitting, organization is showing that PF is being deducted from our basic, which is 50% of our salary. But originally they are deducting from our CTC. One more thing is if i'm gonna give a complaint while staying here itself means, then there will be problem for my carrier, So thinking of that also.
