Hi Friend,

Firstly congratulations for almost completing your ICFAI dist learning, otherwise I hear many people saying the papers are tough, and they end up changing the universities( incl me).

Recruitment is not a tough task, you should understand the recruitment cycle first,

to start with the understanding the requirement, Like qualification, exp, comm skills( standards), and the conceptual knowledge, if it is for ITES it is diff, like coms, thought process, voice and accent etc etc, the most important thing in rec is to understand the requirement.

Next comes sourcing, how to source in the job portals, what are key words used, you should maximum number of combinations in key words for best resumes.

incase if you find one, take the references, using personal network etc, also you can get the database from the colleges etc.

then promoting the companies you are working for, you are completely marketing here, you sell the company, you yourself should first have a good idea abt the comapny you are working for, trying explain them abt the career path, growth, facilities, you basically brand the company.

then comes negotiations, you have to convince them with the market standards, explain that they are worth so much due to certain reasons.

But thats not the end, you have to see that the cnadidate is really keen on joining, otherwise consultancies are not paid if he quits before three months, make sure you search for the ones who are keen, zealous, and shows interest.

then comes your client interaction, in arranging the interviews, make sure trhey are no shows , till you fill the position.

developing a good rapport with the clients is most important thing, as they have consultancies around who can get services from, trying to be the preferred vendor plays imp role. at times even if they reject the candidate, you can convince the client by asking to take a second call..

IAM NOT A QUALIFIED HR, YES IAM STILL IN THE PROCESS OF LEARNING.

heyyy that was helpful...thanx a lot!
but do u mean to say that ITES recruitment process requirement is different?? i have worked for a few months in dell n wipro BPO....
so do u think i should apply for a position of ITES recruiter???
Will it be easier for me then???
cz i think I can understand the ITES requirement better.....
but which one is tougher...to get candidates for ITES or others???
One more thing...i read in an article that...as a recruiter you should get hold of the candidates "BY ANY MEANS".....what are the means???!!! how difficult will that be???

HI Friend again,

Though recruitement process is the same even if you are rec consultant or Hr recruitments in a company, if you are working in a company you will know the loopholes in the stratergy and the structure of the organization according to the market standards and you can be flexible interms of negotiations, whereas as aconsultant you wud not have much flexibility.

ITES is easy recruiting becoz, you only concentrate on the communication skills, you wud assess them on grammer, genderusage, tenses, mother tongue influence, regional language influence, fake accent, fillers, vernacular, most importantly thought process, more specified on the grammer, if it is for voice process, if it is financial BPO, conceptual skills, if it is for tech support- tech knowledge is assessed.

IT and other rec is definitely tough, with more specifications, thoughit i s not much emphasized on the comms, they concentrate much on the projects they have handled, type of skills sets, how updated they are with the new versions, also behavioural questions are asked pertaining to interpersonal skills, attitude, stability, open to learning, diplomatic, assertive, tactful, witty etc.

If you already have experience in ITES BPO's it is def going to be easy recruiting them, but you wud get oppurtunities in the same call centres, most of the time, except for you being exceptionally good in other areas. Now ball is in you court, you have chose which one to opt for.

But my friend let me tell they are so many consultancies, almost each lane has one, so there are many recruiters hunting for the right corporate exposure, you have to assess yourself and get going.....

Revert if you need more clarifications.. but mind you it is only my point of view..
