Would like to know what are the most popular,fun ice -breakers used during induction programs.Did check out some ice breakers posted on the site but want to know if there are any other popular ones.

I have passed through three stages of imparting training. Normally age range of my trainees extends from 20s to 50s.
In the first phase I used to do a lot of labour to collect upto date materials and used to make a very scholarly presentation. But so far as effectiveness is concerned, I was not satisfied.
so I changed the approach. I studied very seriously the trainees' perspectives. It generated great deal of heat in the class. Here too I was not so effective.
So I changed my approach again. In this phase I use to make quick organisation of materials before the class which just come to my mind by free association. The presentation style is such that I make the participants say what I like to say. My job in fact becomes a job of co ordinator and abstractor. This approach I find that it is very effective with minimum strain on my part.
Now your problem is ice breaking. In the introductory class i take their introduction ,introduce the institution, programme, facilties available and whatever is relevant. Before leaving the class I just drop "look! your neighbour is smiling," So you can guess the next. this is my innovative ice breaking device and it works all through out the programme.
