Dear Vishu,
You could start with a brief introduction about the company; the diff dept (with pictures); vision, mission (very important); company organigram; discipline and conduct; diff policies set up in your company.
End: Question time
Tips: Try to make the induction friendly (pictures). Perhaps you could prepare a small video with music (captivate new employees)

Greetings,
Please start with an ice breaker round where you may couple individual introduction with three word mission statement by each attendees.
You can further take one word expectation out of every attendee towards the program and list them on a chart for everyone to view it.
Once you have a fairer view of the mindset through these key words used by the participants , you would be able to impart a better program.
Towards the end of the program match those words with what you disseminated through the PPT , videos and lectures.
Here's a discussion on conduction induction program. Request you to read it as you may gain few more ideas from it.

Dear Vishnu,

The induction programme is prepared atleast one week prior to the date of joining of the candidate.

The induction programme starts with the HR department wherein the department talks about what Mr.Anurag Mishra has mentioned. Then the candidate is introduced to the other colleagues for the purpose of socialising, location of wash rooms, dining hall etc.

Then based on the roles and responsibilities the candidate is briefed by colleagues about the role of their department and how their department supports the role of the candidate. The time frame for each department will differ from department to department and from candidate to candidate depending upon the role the candidate is selected. For example if a candidate is selected for the role of Process Engineer then he will spend more time with the Manufacturing and Process Engineering team and an R & D design engineer will spend more time with the designs team and so on.

Finally after completing the induction programme before the employee is on the job the candidate submits an induction report on his understanding of functioning of the different departments and the same is forwarded to the Department head of the candidate, for him to assess whether his subordinate (candidate) has understood well. In the event he observes that in some areas his understanding is inadequate he either explains to the candidate or puts him to that department for a briefing on the matter. If the candidate has been hired for a technical position (operator) then a test is administered after say 3 months to assess the knowledge and skill acquired by him.
