First thing I would suggest is that feel confident and happy about being aTeam lead.
It is well said that your thinking process is what affects your actions..........
I am not a technical person however I have been in to Technical companies so can suggest you :
1) Do good planning about any project that comes in hand.
2) Have well defined goals/KRA 's for each member of team
3) Have time bound goals
4) Do regular monitoring of your projects..........where you are and where you want along with well though solutions that if you face particular problem how you will take care of it.
5) Keep good coordination among team memebers.
6) One of the reasons why teams fail is due to lack of proper coordination
7) Create a fun at work environment for team
8) Be approachable for team
I am sure people learn a lot with experience.So very soon you will know yourself how to go about it.
Enjoy beaing a leader but be modest & empathetic to team.
