Dear Vighnesh
PF is deduct on the basic salary + DA, its contribusion is 12% employee's share and 12% employer;s share.
Total wages limit is 6500/-pm
Employer share (12%) is divided into two stream (3.67% AND 8.33%)
1. EPF - 3.67% (goes to pf share)
2. EPS- 8.33% (goes to pension share) but, EPS amount can not be more than 541.00/-
OTHER CHARGES IS 1.61% AND IT IS DEVIDED INTO THREE STREAM
1. ADMIN CHARGES: 1.10%
2. EDLI: 0.50% and
3. EDLI ADMIN CHARGES: 0.01%
THEIR IS FIVE ACCOUNT IN PF CHALLAN
1. A/C NO(1) - 12% EMPLOYEE'S SHARE + 3.67% EMPLOYER SHARE
2. ACCOUNT NO(2) - 1.10% ADMIN CHATRGES
3. A/C NO(10)- 8.33% EMPLOYER PENSION SHARE
4. A/C NO(21)- 0.50% EDLI CHARGES AND
5. A/C NO(22)- 0.01% EDLI ADMIN CHARGES

From India, New Delhi
Employer contribution is not a mere 3.67%. Out of the 12% of employer contribution, 8.33% subject to a ceiling of Rs. 541 p.m will go to EPS and rest of the amount to PF. For e.g : If employer contribute 12% on a salary of Rs. 10,000, then the contribution will be Rs. 1200. After adjusting Rs. 541 to EPS, Rs. 659 will be credited to individual PF account alonwith employee contribution.
In the case of exempted PF Trust and in lieu of EDLI, no admin charges are applicable. Instead 0.18% and 0.05% respectively has to be paid towards inspection charges.

hi dear all, Can anyone give me practical knowledge regarding job portal like naukri.com, monster.com. How to use them. Plz help me. thanxs. Regards, Ruchi

No doubt the PF contribution has to be paid on "Basic Wages , Dearness Allowance, Value of any Food Concession and on retaining allowance if any as per Section 6 of the EPF & MP ACT, 1952. But under Section 2 (b) of the Act the "basic wages " were defined as all emoluments which are earned by an employee while on duty or on leave but does not include house rent allowance, overtime allowance , bonus, commission or any other similar allowance only. By showing this definition of Basic Wages the PF Inspectors in some areas are insisting payment contributions on Conveyance Allowance, Washing Allowance, Special Allowance and Shift allowance also. At this juncture it is putting the employers in embarassment position and they were compelled to manage the authorities. Hence it required clear cut clarification from the PF Department. Can any one give their opinion on this contradictory definitions ?

Dear Ruchi,

Assess the job vacancies available in your organisation.

Options given by job portals

1) Certain number of resume views say 2500 resume views over a period of say one year. In such a case if you open one resume for viewing then it is considered as resume view. The expiry will be upon 2500 resume views or 1 year whichever is earlier. In this you can login as many number of times in a day and these are not counted. The count will only be resume views and not login days.

2) Unlimited resume views over a period of say 1 year for a maximum number of say 30 days. Here the number of resumes you can view will be unlimited subject to a maximum of 30 days. The expiry will be upon login for 30 days or 1 year whichever is earlier. Here the resume views are not counted but the number of days you have logged in is counted.

3) Unlimited resumes for say 1 year.

For each of the option the license fee varies. You also have the option to have single user or multiple user. In case of single user license only one person can login at a time and in case of multiple user license more than one (depending upon the choice made by you) can login at the same time.

There is also another option called job posting wherein the job portal offers you to post the job on their site which will be on the site for 30 days for prospective candidates to respond. Each job posting will be charged or is given free depending upon the negotiation with the job portal.

As an employer you will be given a login ID and password and you can login with this.

Once you login you need to select the criteria in the respective search engine available in the site. Some fields will be

1. Key words.

2. Experience

3. CTC slabs

4. Qualification

5. Zone/ city search

6. Insititutions you prefer

7. Industry/ Role

8. Preferred employers

9. Specialisation if any

10. Resume active period

Once you have selected this and seek search the portal throws up resumes based on the choice made by you and this you can save it as a folder in the portal. Everytime you login you can go to this folder view resumes and download suitable profiles to your desktop.

Trust the matter is clarified
