HEY FRIENDS,

TODAY I WAS JUST SITTING IN MY OFFICE ON REVOLVING CHAIR. SUDDENLY I STOOD UP AND THOUGHT THAT THERE ARE SO MANY ISSUES REGARDING HR PRACTICES IN THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES, IN THE SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS, ETC.

BUT IF WE SEE TODAY'S AND TOMORROW'S FUTURE THEN WE DEFINETLY WILL FIND THAT RETAIL SECTOR IS ON BOOM. IF YOU OBSERVE THE MARKET SITUATION, MOST OF THE MNCs ARE TRYING TO ENTER INTO RETAIL SECTOR. FOR EXAMPLE WAL-MART.

BEFORE FEW YEARS THIS WAS NOT THE SITUATION.

THIS IS THE REASON WHY I WOULD LIKE TO PUT THE DISCUSSION TOPIC " CAN WE DISCUSS HR ISSUES IN RETAIL INDUSTRIES?".

AS AN HR PROFESSIONAL WE ALL KNOW THAT HR ISSUES ARE VERY MUCH CRITICAL FOR ANY BUSINESS. NORMALLY WE ALWAYS REACTIVE TOWARDS ANY ISSUES OR PROBLEMS BECAUSE WE ARE HUMAN AND IT IS HUMAN TENDENCY.

BUT IN TODAY'S SITUATION WE MUST HAVE TO BE PROACTIVE TOWARDS ANY ISSUES OR PROBLEMS. WE MUST HAVE TO PLAN EACH AND EVERY ACTIVITIES OF OURS.

SO, LETS START DISCUSSION TO BE PROACTIVE TOWARDS TO HR ISSUES IN RETAIL INDUSTRIES.

I AM ALWAYS WAITING FOR YOUR VALUABLE FEEDBACK...

THANKS & REGARDS,

mITESH bHATT

SORRY FOR TOO LATE REPLY AND THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWER.

I WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS THE ISSUES RELATING TO HR AS WHOLE, BUT I THINK IT WILL BE TOO WIDE CONCEPT AND WE WILL LOSE OUR FOCUS FROM THE DISCUSSION.

SO I WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS THE ISSUES MAINLY RELATING TO RECRUITMENT, COMPANSATION & RETENTION IN RETAIL INDUSTRIES.

THESE ARE THE HOT TOPIC NOW-A-DAYS IN RETAIL IDUSTRIES.

AS THE JOB IN RETAILING IS MONOTONOUS FOR THE PERSON WORKING. AND THE ORGANISATION WANTS TO RETAIN THOSE PEOPLE FROM LEAVING THEIR JOBS. THAT IS THE ISSUES REGARDING [b]HOW TO RETAIN EMPLOYEE IN RETAIL INDUSTRIES?

THE SAME WAY WHEN SOMEONE LEAVE ORGANISATION WE HAVE TO FILL THE GAP WITH PERSON WHO IS CAPABLE INOUGH TO DO THE SAME WORK. BUT IT IS VERY HARD TO FIND OUT THE PERSON WITH SAME QUALITY & WILL DO THE SAME WORK AS EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY. SO RECRUITMENT WOULD BE THE SECOND ISSUES IN RETAIL INDUSTRIES?

THE LAST ISSUE IS RELATING TO COMPENSATION FOR THE EMPLOYEE WORKING IN THE ORGANISATION. COMPENSATION IS THE SOUL MOTIVATOR FOR ANY PERSON TO WORK. WE HAVE TO REMUNERATE THEM PROPERLY SO THEY WILL NOT LEAVE ORGANISATION QUICKLY.

I KNOW THERE WOULD BE MANY OTHER ISSUES WHEN A PERSON LEAVES THE ORGANISATION. WE CAN ALSO ADD THOSE ISSUE IN THIS DISCUSSION.

I HOPE FRIENDS, THAT YOU ALL GOT MY POINT.

I HAVE GIVEN THIS TOPIC TO DISCUSS THESE ISSUES IN RETAIL INDUSTRIES.

REGARDS,
