As per my experience till today the limit is Rs. 6500/- (not compulsory) if the basic+DA is morethan 6500/- and if we wish to deduct for full, we can. now they are discussing to raise the limit upto 10,000/-

i remember similarly one member mentioned that nw on paternity leave is mandatory in india whereas this is not at all the case n i started searching like stupids if that was true or not
