‎10 things HR managers look for in potential hires

Dear Peer Mohamed,
Theoretically, the article is quite nice and educative, BUT, the points of the article make sense only where there is any say of the HR in selecting the candidates. In most of the organizations, it all depends upon the selection committee. AND the members of most of the selection committees are selected so meticulously that they are able to take the hints of their Godfathers to look in to such qualities of the prospective candidates, who can be suitably added to the army of yes-men of the higher bosses. Even if a rational HR member decides to take care of the points given in the article, his choice is sidelined by the views of the majority of selection committee members.
JUST INFORM IF IT IS NOT A FACT?

Hello,

I agree with both of you and wish to add something more in this discussion:

1. In the current scenario, the attitude of the candidates should also be undertaken as an important criteria for recruitment. Attitude of the person with best competencies can be a bit tolerated, but not of that where you observe differences.
2. Nowadays, recruitment through social networks has proved to be an advancement in the Recruitment Process. However, it should be deeply analyzed, whether you are getting right info over there.
3. Creativity, Execution, Team Working, etc all these features can hardly be proved during recruitment and will be observed only as per the resume statements of the candidates. Very small activities or tasks even during recruitment process can be taken to judge their instant capabilities with all the above characteristics. (If written exams can be a part of recruitment and selection; these activities can also be performed for this purpose).

These are the premier things I wanted to share; however, I am a Young HR Professional; might not be perfect. Still, the comments and suggestions of the HR Experts and Newbies are welcome.
