Someone has absconded from duty for more than 7 days, I want to terminate them but not pay. How doe I go about this?
From Rwanda
Before terminating even for absconding you should offer him an opportunity to be heard. Therefore, please send him a show cause notice and wait for his reply. If the reply is not acceptable proceed with a domestic enquiry. In the absence of a proper enquiry you may be directed by the Labour Authorities or Labour Court to reinstate him in service.
