Hi I’m looking at examples of the criteria used to determine the type of recognition or reward - in the workplace. Thanks

Hi,
The term reward implies monetory benefit whereas recognition ned not involve money.
Crieteria would also depend on type of the company - manufacturing, IT, service, etc.
In manufacturing rewards would be given for
1. For achieving the targets (sales, collection, Order, Production, etc)
2. For improvements done in his work place
3. If there is any savings due to improvements, then small portion of the savings would be given to employee.
4. If he has given valuable suggestion to improve, then also we can give reward.
5. If he has improved quality and there by reduced rejections, you can give him reward.
Recognition could be given for -
1. Long service in the company (10, 15, 20, and 25 years)
2. If he has won any competition.
3. If his contribution is more than others
i Hope this is useful for you.

Hi
Here is my view on Reward & Recognition.
Above and Beyond awards are most commonly given to employee on his / her monthly , quarterly performance. You can present them a certificate in a monthly end meeting” we called is as all hands” in front of all team members.
Treasure chest award given to employee to appreciate on his / her successful and friendly support to management team, customers, clients mentioning the reason on certificate.
Thank you note or Excellence Award in a form a certificate can also be given to team member for extending good support and extending the same in future.
You can also give them a gift voucher with certificate or allowance in their salary. This motivates employee make them to give their best to company/ team.
If you have a color printer. You can have above certificate printed internally in team. In case you need any help on format for certificate. you can mail me with a subject line : Reward & Recognition. My mail ID is
